THROW AWAY MUSIC?
July marks the start of a series of special limited edition vinyl releases on Nu Directions. Aimed at invigorating the demand for physical product and aimed at vinyl collectors, the series will take on different ways of packaging. Expect to see all different shapes and colours of vinyl accompanied by bespoke artwork, stickers and sometimes even art prints! This is all good and well but what about the music? You will be glad to hear that the 'NDLTD' series will be collectable, not just for its limited edition packaging but also the music it houses. The A&R on the project is aimed at releasing electronic music that will stand the test of time. The first limited release will be a 3 tracker from Sam KDC, 'Selfless' b/w NotioN - 'Searching For An Answer Remix', plus an exclusive track only available for download. This release is followed in the autumn by releases from Unquote and Triad. To listen to snippets of NDLTD music check the 'First Listen' page.

KEEPING IT ROLLING...
June finally saw the release of the long awaited Sinistarr / Zero T release, with the Lynx remix of 'Anorak' and 'Tavistock Dub' doing serious damage on the airwaves and in the festival tents. Never a label to rest on its laurels Nu Directions has a whole bunch of exciting releases to stoke up your record box through the summer and into the autumn. Next up is ND repeat offenders The Insiders in july with 'Heatwave' b/w 'Mutant'. Following that Need For Mirrors return to the label with a heavy dose of twisted dancefloor funk in the autumn as well as forthcoming offerings from Switch, Seba & Subterra. ND:GTAL
After years of mulling over the benefits of creating a Digital label at the ND:HQ, we have decided to take the plunge. In reading this you may think this is our way of locking down loads of tunes we cant / don't have the time to release on vinyl. WRONG. ND:GTAL is a digital label that is to release 100% exclusive, Upfront drum & bass of the same quality you would expect from a physical ND release. To prove this we are kicking off the label with the 2010 remixes of the classic 'Demon Seed' by Exocet [Youtube] Originally released in 1997 on Dirty Mac and re-issued by Nu Directions in 2001, it is back with a bang, with versions from 'man of the moment' S.P.Y and label affiliates THE INSIDERS. Released in the coming months, check back here for an updated release schedule in the next few weeks. Until then check the audio in the FIRST LISTEN section.
